This is the comparatively rare (in the UK) version of the Robert Fulton Line vertical.
The boiler is vertical but not strictly cylindrical. It occupies 2 tiers of the pyramid shape. It's total height is 117mm and is 78mm diameter for the lower 42mm and 65mm diam for the upper 75mm. It has fairly standard whistle on the top but no safety valve. It has a filler plug which does not look original to me. It might have originally had a S/V but the thread is completely different from the other engines in the range. There is also a purely cosmetic chimney.
The cylinder is mounted directly on the side of the boiler with no steam feed or exhaust pipes. The crankshaft penetrates the boiler half way up (through a pipe) and has a 68mm diameter flywheel on the other end.
The engine is in non-running condition and is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future because the electric heating element is burned out.
