This is a simple but well made toy. It is solidly built using robust materials.
The vertical boiler is approx 3" high x 2" diameter and made of copper with brass end plates. It has a single central flue. The large safety valve is, unusually, mounted horizontally on the side of the barrel, near the top. The meths burner is a single wick type with an external reservoir.
The engine frame is attached to the side of the firebox. Steam feed is from the top of the safety valve mounting direct to the back of the port face. The engine is a single oscillating cylinder, single acting. It is 5/16" bore x 3/4" stroke. The crank is a simple bent wire type. The other end of the crank shaft has a 2 5/8" diameter brass flywheel.
The exhaust pipe is angled down towards the base and a small brass bucket is provided to catch the condensate and oil. Interestingly, an Australian Penny was fitted into the top of the bucket as I received it. The maker assures me it had no clever purpose, just a memento.
The base is wood with a bevelled edge. On the bottom of the base is an inscription "TTB V1 - No 6 - 7/16". TTB V1 is the make and model. No 6 is presumably a serial number. 7/16 is presumably the date of manufacture (July 2016).
