The Stuart Turner model 10 has been produced in several versions. This is the single cylinder vertical configuration.
The double acting fixed cylinder is 3/4" bore x 3/4" stroke, fitted with drain cocks at each end. It is connected to the crankshaft via a crosshead and simple crank between the main bearings. It is controlled by a slide valve connected to a simple fixed eccentric on the crankshaft at one end of the crankshaft, with no reversing capability.
