This beautiful launch is the rarest of the Steamco models. The steam engine is virtually identical to the separately sold STC-02 marine engine. The only obvious difference, apart from the different base colour, is the addition of a bush for the canopy fixing screw.
The hull is fibreglass with a high gloss finish; 660mm long x 195mm beam. It has a canopy, supported by four brass pillars and fixed in place by a screw in the form of a dummy whistle. (Shame the whistle is only a dummy but it would be tricky making it working and also easily removable.) At the stern end of the deck, there is a removable hatch which, I presume, is intended for radio control equipment. See here for details of the engine unit.
As acquired, it is in almost mint condition except that the burner is missing. There is no visible evidence that it has ever been fired.
