This is the same engine as that in the Steamco launch STC-03 Linda Marie. It's built to the same high standard of the other Steamco engines, although with fewer cosmetic embellishments, because it's designed to be fitted inside a boat hull.
The boiler is 110mm x 51mm diameter. It's fired by a solid fuel tablet burner. It has a safety valve and water level overflow plug. The chimney is mounted on the end of the firebox and gives the visual impression that it carries the burner gasses. However, this is not so. The chimney only carries the engine exhaust. The steam pipe exits from the bottom of the boiler, passing through the burner flame for a nominal superheat.
The pipe goes via a gravity fed oiler to the side of the port face. There is no regulator. The cylinder is a double acting oscillating cylinder; 5/16" bore x 1/2" stroke. Exhaust is fed to the base of the chimney. The crankshaft has a disk crank at one end and a 1.25" brass flywheel at the other. It passes through the engine mounting and is lubricated manually via a long tube. A brass 3 blade propeller and stern tube are provided, along with a coupling kit.
The engine is in almost as-new condition, although it has had some minor repairs done before I bought it.
