This is a twin cylinder horizontally opposed stationary engine, although it was probably designed for marine applications. At first glance, from a distance, it may appear to be an oscillating cylinder type, but in fact, the cylinders are fixed and a rotary valve is built into the crank shaft and it's bearing. The connecting rods are connected directly to the pistons, similar to those in a car engine.
The cylinders are approx 7mm bore x 7.5mm stroke. The connecting rods are both connected to a single crank pin. The crankshaft bearing contains a rotary valve, the rotating part being the crankshaft. The 18mm diameter flywheel is a deep marine type, mounted on the end of the crankshaft.
