This is a larger and more up-market stable mate for the L4. The boiler is a simple horizontal pot boiler, fired by a dual wick meths burner, similar to the Luton Bowman type. The boiler is 2" diameter x 4 1/2" long. It is fitted with an overflow plug, safety valve, whistle and chimney. The base of the chimney houses the steam feed and exhaust. The steam feed goes to the back of the port face block, which also supports an oiler. The oiler lubricates the port face and not the cylinder. The single cylinder is a single acting oscillating cylinder, 11/32" bore x 3/4" stroke. The crank shaft sports a disk crank at one end and a 2" diameter brass flywheel at the other. The flywheel incorporates a 5/16" pulley. Exhaust is returned to the chimney. As acquired, the burner was broken and unusable. I have repaired it and repainted it. The rest of the engine was in good working order and just needed some new washers. The paintwork appears to be original and is in reasonable condition
