CK (Matsutoku) & Crescent

Made in Japan

CK Matsutoku (aka Kuramochi Shoten), founded in Tokyo in the 1920s and were in production till c1948. They made a range of cheap toys, including some steam engines. Some of these appear to have been copied or imported into the UK by Crescent Toys and/or Castle Products and marketed under those names with some minor differences. However, examples sold elsewhere under the CK name have since found their way here and can be identified by the CK logo stamped into the metal.
