This is a nice compact marine engine, sold to be fitted into a boat hull.
I acquired the engine with an incorrect meths burner (appears to be Fleischman). I assume it should have a similar Bing one. The brass boiler is a simple horizontal pot boiler; 39mm diam x 102mm long, It has a safety valve (also looks incorrect) and a steam outlet, No water level indication.
Steam is fed directly to the back of the pressed brass port face. The cylinder is a single acting oscillating cylinder type; 7mm bore x 15mm stroke. The crankshaft has an extra long crank pin to enable coupling to a prop shaft. The flywheel is mazac, 32mm diam. The exhaust pipe is extended vertically to fit into a chimney. The engine bracket is pressed steel and incorporates the rear bearing for the crankshaft. The front bearing is a hole in the firebox. The whole is mounted on a pressed steel flanged base.
As acquired, condition appears to be generally ok. Paintwork looks original but is in poor condition.
